Getting your GED will open doors for making a higher income.

Many higher-level jobs require a minimum level of education such as a High school diploma or GED. And if your GED scores are excellent that can also help employers overcome the stigma of not completing High School. An NCES study showed an increase greater than $6,800 in annual income between those with a GED or diploma verse those who didn't. In other words, your GED can get your foot in the door for companies where school equivalency is important and you'll have the opportunity to be promoted to higher levels if you apply yourself and are an excellent employee.  Many job opportunities will open when you have your GED because having the right school credential is often a requirement.

Getting your GED will open the doors to future learning opportunities by expanding your educational development

Many times in your career, you can upgrade your pay or move to higher levels if you have the right training or degree. But you can't take college courses or have access to trade school options if you don't have a GED. For example, you can't participate in our CNA training program unless you have at least a GED certificate. According to statistics, most people will change careers 5-7 times during their working life. It would be tragic to severely limit your options by not getting your GED.
