Dual Enrollment
To be eligible for dual-enrollment, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled as a student in a Florida secondary school or be enrolled in a home education program pursuant to Section 1002.41, Florida Statute. Students’ parents/guardians must provide proof of enrollment in a home education program with a signed letter from the School District of Hendry County.
- Be classified as a high school junior or senior
- Possess and maintain a 2.0 unweighted GPA
- Meet the graduation requirements for Florida’s state-wide assessments
- Have a plan approved by their high school to complete all requirements to graduate on time
- Demonstrate readiness for post-secondary work evidenced by:
- A good attendance record
- A satisfactory disciplinary record
- Basic Skills Requirements pursuant to F.S. 6A-10.040
- Be recommended by their school counselor or career specialist.
Students who need no more than two academic credits a year in subjects such as English, math, science or social studies can be enrolled as full-time career dual-enrolled students; students should speak to their high school counselor to develop a plan to complete their high school credits required for graduation.
**Please note that transportation to and from our program is the student’s responsibility. We do not provide school bus transportation to campus.

Thank you for your interest in learning a hands-on trade with Hendry County Workforce! Workforce instructors and administrators are committed to helping students fulfill their potential and achieve success. Dual enrollment students can attend our courses while still in high school if they are on track to graduate (please discuss your eligibility with your guidance counsellor.) If your course in out of town we will provide transportation. Workforce programs are rigorous and only for those who are serious about learning a trade.

LaBelle Electrician School
Our Electrician program provides comprehensive training in planning and installing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures for both residential and commercial projects. Students learn to interpret job specifications and adhere to local electrical codes, ensuring safe and efficient installations in real-world settings.

LaBelle Plumbing School
Tim Bross is a Certified Florida Plumbing Contractor with 17 plus years of experience in the industry. For the past 5 years, he has dedicated his expertise to educating future professionals as a Plumbing Instructor at South Fort Myers High School, as well as running his own Plumbing service business.

Clewiston Diesel School
- Must be on-track to graduate
- Classes are during school hours
- Lasts 1 school year
- Must start at the begining of school year in the fall.
Work with renowned diesel instructor Albert Williams. One of the most hands-on course in the state of Florida, but also a very technical field of study. Class are only in Clewiston, but transportation is provided for LaBelle Students.

Clewiston Weld School

- Lasts 1 school year
- Must start at the begining of school year in the fall.
Clewiston Weld School is one of South Florida's Top Welding Schools with phenominal instructor Stephen Riggs and an state of the art welding facility. Welding is in high demand and also is a valuable add-on for other careers. This course is hands-on training and takes alot of practice and patience. This program is only in Clewiston, but transportation is provided for students from LaBelle.

Nursing CNA Clewiston & LaBelleList Item 1

- Night Classes
- Class lasts 4 months
A certified nursing assistant’s (CNA) main role is to provide basic care to patients, as well as assist them in daily activities they might have trouble with on their own, such as bathing. Because of the personal nature of the job, a certified nursing assistant job description must include people skills and the ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others. In nursing or long-term care facilities, a CNA is often a patient’s main caregiver.
